This was my first time on a Tennis Angels Holiday and I am sure that it will not be my last. The trip was organised by Kate who made all the bookings on our behalf at the hotel and secured a most advantageous rate! We flew out from London Gatwick and were met at Sardinia's Cagliari Airport before being transferred to Forte Village. The hotel is a 40 minute drive from the airport and is situated on the coast with a beautiful white sandy beach. 

 

Kate brings a wealth of experience from her coaching & sports career. She was aided by Danny Sapsford, a former Davis Cup player who has played matches against the likes of former Wimbledon and US Open Champion Pete Sampras.

 

Mornings were spent working on different aspects of the game with afternoons concentrating on doubles play. Although we were a group of 10, Kate and Danny always had time to go one-to-one with individual tips to improve our own game. I leant more about improving my game in the few days in Sardinia than in the past few years!

 

The tennis courts could be reached by walking under a canopy of flowers which reminded me of Claude Monet's garden at Giverny! The restaurants were all a short walk or a lift in a golf buggy which serviced the hotel guests.

 

We could all meet up for lunch and dinner or do our own thing which allowed for a very relaxed atmosphere!

 

I am sure that we all returned inspired by the tennis camp with our games greatly improved by the wonderful coaching by Kate and Danny!
