Kate’s journey started in tennis from age 4 when she started playing at a local sports center. Inspired by her grandma, she went onto be selected for the county by age 6 and by age 8 was playing at a national level. Her childhood was filled with daily training and she competed at a top level to reach top UK junior level and played satellites at 16. Kate chose not to pursue as a full time professional tennis player, instead turning her passion into sports business. Kate has never stopped competing and still plays county vets over 35s UK!
SPORTS MARKETING CAREER:
She went onto achieve a 2:1 degree in Sport & Exercise Science from university of Birmingham and then was awarded a full tennis scholarship to University of Memphis Masters in Sport & Leisure Commerce. 8 years as a sports agent for Andy Murray, Anna Kournikova, Lleyton Hewitt, Martina Hingis. Last 10 years Kate stepped out of the corporate world in 2007 and decided to return to full time coaching preferring to be on the court than in the office. She went on to set up her own school of tennis coaching: Tennis Angels that specialized in home tennis coaching business.
Kate’s reputation as a coach is that she is able to maximize development as a tennis player whilst infusing a sense of fun, enjoyment and fitness into all her sessions. She works with all types of clients, but mainly adults who want to play tennis for social, fitness and fun as part of a holistic lifestyle program. She believes tennis is a fantastic way to get fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle. You can play 3 hours of tennis, but never do 3 hours in the gym! With the obesity epidemic its important we all get moving and do something we love! It’s got to be fun!

"Kate has been coming to us for over a year now, to teach a group of all ages and abilities. She is adaptable, confident and professional as well as innovative and fun. Most importantly the children love it!”
My boys have been coached by Kate and her team for the last few years at a private court in Oxfordshire. Their tennis has improved dramatically. They love their fun, energetic and informative sessions. I highly recommend this service!
